On a heartwarming evening at Newcomb Hall, the University of Virginia (UVA) became a gathering place of unity, friendship, and reflection as ATFA co-hosted a beautiful Iftar Dinner in partnership with the Virginia Interfaith Coalition.

Guests enjoyed a delicious iftar meal that brought hearts and cultures together. The evening was filled with vibrant moments — from an engaging Ramadan presentation and a lively Kahoot game to exciting raffle prizes and rich conversations that echoed the spirit of the holy month.

We were honored by the presence of university staff, deans, faculty members, student club representatives, and students, all coming together in the spirit of community, learning, and shared values.

A special highlight of the evening was the attendance of UVA President Jim Ryan, who graciously joined the program to welcome participants. As a gesture of appreciation, ATFA presented a heartfelt gift to President Ryan, thanking him for his leadership and support of inclusive and interfaith initiatives on campus.

The beautifully arranged space and warm hospitality at Newcomb Hall reflected the rich diversity and harmony of the UVA community — a reminder of the power of shared meals and mutual understanding in building stronger connections.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated and helped make this night truly memorable. We look forward to continuing our mission of fostering dialogue, friendship, and service in communities across Virginia and beyond.
